Come work with Clean River Partners, Minnesota DNR, and River Bend Nature Center’s Outdoor Diversity Initiatives group to remove invasive species from the Engeseth-Rinde WMA in Nerstrand.
Work will be somewhat strenuous in open areas with a short hike to the work areas. All tools will be provided, including work gloves. Snacks and water will be supplied, but have water on hand for hot work and a lunch for the day. Come at 10:00 am and stay as long as you like. Work will go until 2:30 pm, weather permitting.
More about the Project
We are so excited to announce that we have received funding from the Engeseth-Rinde Restoration Fund through Northfield Shares for a second year in support of our Prairie Creek WMA project.
This grant helps us build relationships between community members and this beautiful local landscape through volunteer days and a partnership with River Bend Nature Center's Outdoor Diversity Initiative, which opens doors for emerging professionals from underrepresented backgrounds to connect with the outdoors and explore environmental careers.
Our goal is simple: to connect people with the land, so they feel a sense of shared responsibility to care for it.
