Minnspired River Protectors

  • Roosevelt School 122 East McKinley Street Owatonna, Minnesota, 55060 United States (map)

Join educators from Clean River Partners for hands-on fun in this family-friendly workshop and take home a booklet of conservation-related activities you can do with your family!

Similar to the National Park Service Junior Rangers program, kids will have the opportunity to earn a Clean River Rangers badge after the class by completing a total of six challenges from a handbook.

During the workshop, we’ll explore water pollution through an exciting activity, then get a head start on completing one or two of the challenges. Learn how to take action to protect our rivers and bring home a booklet of activities to stay busy during this last month of summer.

You can also sign up by calling (507) 444-7900 or stopping into Roosevelt School.

This event is part of Minnspired Week: A Celebration of All Things Minnesota!

Get ready to tap into your Minnesota spirit during this one-of-a-kind week of hands-on classes, outdoor adventures, and creative experiences inspired by our North Star State. Whether you’re a lifelong Minnesotan or just discovering the magic, Minnspired Week is your chance to try something new, connect with our community, and celebrate what makes this place special.

From crafting your own fishing lures to Minnspired clay creations, yoga on the (Kohlmier) beach, and pond dipping to figure out just what lives in our lakes, each class is designed to be fun, approachable, and uniquely Minnesotan.
