QUEERY Meetup: Prairie Ecology & Stewardship

Head out to the prairie to explore what makes this habitat so important to Minnesota.

We will hike through the prairie and learn about a few of the plants, insects, birds, and other wildlife that call this area home. Then we will take part in a hands-on stewardship project.

Be ready to get a little dirty! Wear long pants, a hat, and sturdy closed-toed shoes. Bring lots of water to stay hydrated.

You must complete the signup form to get the exact location for this event.

What is QUEERY?

QUEERY is a free, inclusive nature club designed specifically for queer and questioning middle and high school youth in Southern Minnesota.

Every month, we gather for exciting activities that foster outdoor skills, build friendships, and explore the unique ways queerness can be found in the natural world. From nature journaling, hiking, and birding, to tours of local greenhouses and kayaking, each meetup is an opportunity for adventure and discovery!
