Why plant a rain garden?
It will beautify your property, capture rainwater, reduce stormwater runoff - and the City of Owatonna and Steele County Soil & Water Conservation District can help you pay for it! Attend this complimentary, in-person class and learn about the benefits of rain gardens and how to plan and install your own.
What to Expect
We'll kick off the class with a short field trip to see a rain garden in action at a residential property and hear maintenance tips from the homeowner. You'll learn where to put your rain garden, how to choose the right plants, and what cost-share programs exist to help you pay for the project.
Who This Is For
This workshop is hosted through Owatonna Community Education adult enrichment classes.
Designed for adults of all backgrounds and experience levels, these classes provide a welcoming space to explore new interests, build practical skills, and connect with others in the community.
