Meet the pollinators and creepy crawlies that inhabit our prairie and fields at our next QUEERY meetup!
We will meet at a local prairie to learn from Dr. Diane Angell about how scientists use bumblebees to assess the overall health of the ecosystem, and take part in a bumblebee survey.
We may even find the endangered Rusty Patch Bumble Bee! While out in the field, we will also look for other invertebrates (creepy crawlies!) using sweep nets and other tools.
Bring your cell phone for taking video surveys of the Bumble Bees. Come ready for a morning of scientific exploration!

What is QUEERY?
QUEERY is a free, inclusive nature club designed specifically for queer and questioning middle and high school youth in Southern Minnesota.
Every month, we gather for exciting activities that foster outdoor skills, build friendships, and explore the unique ways queerness can be found in the natural world. From nature journaling, hiking, and birding to tours of local greenhouses and kayaking, each meetup is an opportunity for adventure and discovery!
