About the Prairie Creek WMA: Engeseth-Rinde Unit
The Engeseth-Rinde site was added to the Prairie Creek Wildlife Management Area in 2015 and is being restored from agricultural uses to feature oak savannah, prairie, and wetland habitats. Don Nelson, the former owner of the site, donated the land to be used for conservation, education, and research.
Sign Up for our Volunteer Corps program!
The Volunteer Corps program is all about getting hands-on and making a difference in our watershed. As a Volunteer Corps member, you can jump into a range of fun activities, like restoration and conservation projects or educational events. Each opportunity is a bit different, giving you the chance to learn new things and grow while helping out in the community. If you care about keeping our water clean and like working with people from different backgrounds in our watershed, joining the Volunteer Corps could be just the thing for you!
