Michael Pressman

Board Member (he/him)

Michael has dedicated his career to habitat conservation, building more than three decades of experience in positions of increasing responsibility. For three years, he built the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District's Land Conservation Program, and has spent over 20 years with The Nature Conservancy. In his current role, he leads the organization's efforts to resource its highest-impact habitat protection opportunities globally, through both fundraising and talent mobility.

He served for 14 years as Director of Habitat Protection for The Nature Conservancy in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, giving him deep familiarity with the players, programs, and funding sources that drive conservation work across the state. He also brings expertise in water quality efforts within agricultural settings, having served as co-fundraising lead and interim director of The Nature Conservancy's Mississippi River Basin Program.

A relatively recent resident of this watershed district, Michael is honored by the opportunity to contribute to the important work of Clean River Partners and the communities it serves.
